Did
You Know?...
…
That TV51’s General Manager, Holly Swanson, won the Women’s
Media Race at the Rockford Speedway during the 39th Annual Police
vs. Businessmen Grudge Race? Dani Maxwell from WREX added some heat
to the competition, but she hit the wall after the fourth lap and
disabled her vehicle. Georgette Braun from the Rockford Register
Star took second place.

Sarah
Kelly Concert
Contemporary Christian music artist Sarah Kelly will perform
at TLN TV51’s Annual Fall Banquet on Thursday, September
25 for a 45-minute concert. With her Janis Joplin-meets-
Alanis Morissette growl and her decidedly worshipful lyrics,
Sarah Kelly stood out when she arrived on the Christian music scene in 2004 with
her Grammy-nominated debut “Take Me Away.” But behind her smile and
platform of hope in Christ was an abusive past. After more than a decade of wrestling
with self-hate and succumbing again and again to abusive relationships, Sarah
Kelly is now a free woman, a woman who knows who she is, who she belongs to and
what her life and music are supposed to be about. Sarah has three albums out--“Take
Me Away,” “Where the Past Meets Today,” and “Born to
Worship.” At TLN TV51’s banquet, Sarah will sing songs from all albums
and share pieces of her life story. Don’t miss this special night that
includes a full sit-down dinner at Sam’s Ristorante as well as a fabulous
silent auction and other entertainment. Tickets are on sale now for only $30.
However, ticket prices will increase to $35 in August. Call 815-877-5151.
